Aegir Expeditions Crew WorkThis is our big boat passage making class and is intended for sailors who want to step up from day sailing and coastal cruising and develop their long distance offshore sailing skills. As part of the crew you will participate in every aspect of the boat's operation including sail trim and reefing, steering, charting and navigation, weather, trip planning, etc.

These unique one day and weekend classes are designed to give everyone multiple opportunities to work in every aspect of operating a 48ft offshore passage making sailboat. This is not a fair weather sailing class and you should be prepared to be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions and situations. Everyone is required to work together and potentially work on deck in challenging conditions, and a good level of fitness and an enthusiastic mental attitude is necessary.

These offshore training passages leave from and return to Chicago's Monroe Street Harbor the same day, and as the wind blows so shall we. Includes lunch.
